The Administration is appointed for the execution of works. It did not perform duty, have no will to
take preventive measures. The representatives of the people did not raise voice against it. The sufferer
is common man. What is the remedy? 

                       Frustrated and Furious

Sometimes we see that the otherwise calm and peaceful people

became furious and their behavior is totally unexpected. Within last

3-4 days, Kolhapur witnessed such two things. The Anti-Toll

Agitation take a hostile turn after unjustified / unnecessary lathi charge

 and the agitators from Chandgad became destructive in Collector office.

          It is said that if the diagnosis is wrong, the treatment too will be

wrong. In the matter of Chandgad issue, the Collector had ordered to

inquire into matter and also had ordered to impose proper force at the

events of agitations. The logic behind it is that if the more force is employed,

we can be safe and it will solve the issue. How it is possible? Is it a only solution

to avoid such rage? NO. The problem is somewhere else. The administration

is running off from the common people. It should know that the citizens are a

part of government in democracy. In a dictatorship, decisions are made and

implemented without considering the people. If the administration listened the

 problems and forwarded it to the government, it is enough. After all the

administration cannot take decisions, it only can implement the decisions taken

by the representatives of the people. In the Toll issue too, it was the inaction of

the administration which made the situation worse. Lack of communication and

 lack of interest kept the administration away from the real condition. Moreover,

 the tendency of avoiding responsibility was shown again. Chacha Neharu had told

that conversation is important in the private life as well as in the life of the nation to

resolve the disputes.

          Appointing more force cannot save. When revolution starts, all the mighty

forces get swept in a whirl. And revolution always begins with the common

unrest in the minds of the citizens. The Red Attacks are just an advanced stage of

unrest and frustration.

We cannot afford to ever sit down.....

Finally we have woke up, we are protesting. But there is a long way to go and

we cannot afford to sit down. The cartoon in Times of India is very apt.

In Kolhapur, the people are fighting for their fundamental rights- for roads, which

is a basic need. But the government is playing with the sentiments of the citizens.

It had never answered the issues raised, instead it is trying to protect the wrong doers.

It is going to give roads to a privet company for 30 years. We,the people, are 

protesting and the government, which is for the welfare of the people and bound to 

fulfill the needs of the people, is just ignoring the wishes of the people. Are they 

elected there to fulfill their own agenda? It is nothing but "TollGate".

It is time, when we should stood up. Because we cannot afford to sit down. 

When the Government became oppressive?

In a democracy, it is expected that the people should decide the policies of governance.

Then why the government do exactly opposite to the public demand?

There is one reason: Corruption and the other is negligence towards the duty. If the gain is 

high, the government, say our representatives, do things against the wish of people. The voters

should became aware now and must ask about their plans before we elect them. If they 

presented different plan and activated the different one, we should have the power to recall them

from their posts. Only then they will behave responsibly. 

Corrupt police ran away...

There is news that a corrupt Assistant Police Inspector ran away after taking bribe. The Anti Corruption chased but he escaped. He had threatened a man to file a fake case and to arrest. Happened at Shahuwadi. It was known that police take bribe for not taking action on filed cases. But now the trend has increased to such a height that they themselves will file cases and rob you. Isn't it amazing? There is possibility of his release, for lack of evidence, and he will again join the police force to " serve people".


When laws protects the service of servant, why they fall short to protect the right of common people? A right  to have the protection of Law.

myself from quoting two poets, whose poems I studied in English Literature.Alexander Pope had written (as I can recall):-“ Our judgments as our watches
   None go alike,  Yet everyone believes his own”and                             
 “ Honor and shame, there no condition raise,    Act well your part, there all honor lies.” Then there is Milton saying “They also serve, who only stand and wait.”Isn’t it useful in the efforts To Constitute India? The Judiciary, the Executive,
the Legislature and the Praja (both Sattadhari and Labharthi) should do
its part honestly, without blaming others. Those who are not making any efforts

Efforts for Corruption Free State

There are some committees formed at various levels to stop corruption. There are boards displaying some names. But are they working ? What they have done to prevent corruption? Who are appointed on such committees and who appoint them? If these committees worked properly, corruption can be minimized at source itself. But who cares.......
